memery shoes review

Living in subtropical Australia, boots only come out on the really wet raining days or occasional cold snaps. I had spent a good year or so researching and seeking a pair of boots to fit all my criteria:
-High quality leather
-Rubber soles (for the wet and I don't like the clipity clop of wooden soles)
-Lace up
-Low heel/Flat
-Vintage inspired which work well in casual and also with dresses and skirts for the winter
I ordered as per the size chart and they fit perfectly - I wear them with handknitted socks. Only the first wear the upper leg was a little stiff when walking (but could also be because I was used to ankle boots before), and they are super comfortable, stable and can confidently hop through the streets in the rain knowing I won't slip and that my feet will stay dry. So happy with this purchase and the high quality of the shoe.

In all seriousness, I was so thrilled with the quality and fit of my gold Helens that I repeated the order in silver. The fit is accurate- I wear a US 9, and the rounded toe is perfect. The build quality is excellent, with beautiful leather construction and a very comfortable last and balanced heel. Just as importantly, the look is impeccably era-correct! I can’t recommend this company highly enough!

I already have the Yvonne pumps in red, they are SO comfortable and have been much admired so I bought them in black too and they are just as lovely. Please add more wide fit styles to your range of shoes.

Jeg har meget brede fødder og altid haft svært ved at finde pæne damesko, som jeg kunne passe. Memerys brede model blev valgt i str. udfra deres måleskema, og selvom jeg var noget skeptisk, blev jeg glædeligt overrasket. Skoene er præcist så fine som på billederne, de passer - og eneste ønske er måske, at en spadsere-sko kom med en sål, der var lidt mindre glat. Men elegant og velsyet sko i lækker kvalitet - og super service og kommunikation med Memery undervejs i leveringen, da leveringsfirmaet ved en fejl fik skoene på en lille omvej. Kan varmt anbefale at købe sko hos Memery.

I can't praise these shoes enough. They are so soft and comfortable that I was able to wear them all day. I loved them so much I ordered both myself and my friend a pair in another colour. I will also be ordering myself some in the other colours that they do. Many thanks

The boots are so comfortable! I have wide feet and was worried that it would hurt my bunions - honestly, they're the most comfortable shoes out of the box I've ever worn. Very happy with them, have worn them for a full day already. Have worn them to work with trousers and with a long skirt. They look great! Thank you!

I loved these shoes, and was hoping I would be able to walk in them, unfortunately due to a dropped foot I couldn't without help, I will be looking for something else.

They have the softest leather exterior and a nice canvas exterior. The wide version accomodates my feet very nicely, but makes them look narrow. They're so soft and maleable that they don't cause blisters above my heels, like most shoes do. They're fantastic!

Very comfortable Winter Boots of lovely colour. The blue is really nice and matches the blue of the knitted pullover that I also bought from Memery. The boots are size 40 and fit my usual size 40 perfectly in size an width. They come with two pairs of shoelaces, grey and blue, which is a nice extra. I definitely would buy it again!

These boots are amazing!! Excellent quality and workmanship. The addition of extra laces and eyelets was a great surprise. They are so comfortable, it's like putting on a pair of slippers.
The shipping was very fast as well. I'd definitely buy more pairs

I had been mulling over which Memery shoes purchase as my first pair since autumn of last year. I was greatly torn between four styles but couldn’t justify ordering all at once. I finally settled on these; Marie in Cognac Brown. They arrived quickly and well packed! And any worries that I maybe should have ordered a different style were erased as soon as I unpacked them. It was love at first sight. They are beautiful, no, stunning. I have gotten loads of compliments already and I’ve only had them two weeks, from both friends in vintage scene AND non-vintagey friend and family. They are the most elegant shoes I have ever owned. I didn’t know a person could be so smitten with a pair of shoes, but here I am. And they are incredibly comfortable too! Didn’t need to break them in and was able to walk in them for hours at the first go! Could not recommend these shoes or Memery enough! I will be ordering from Memery again, and again, and again.

This is my third purchase from Memery and once again I am absolutely thrilled with the excellent quality and comfort of these beautiful shoes. You are truly an oasis of class, quality and superb style in today’s desert of mass-produced and quite frankly ugly footwear!

I am very happy with my purchase overall. The shoes are very comfortable and I look forward to wearing them as often as I can.

The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the laces. They’re just too short. While I’d say I don’t have the skinniest calves, I don’t think a lot of people do. So the laces provided don’t let me lace up the shoes past about 3/4 of the way. While I understand why, it is still mildly frustrating to deal with. They don’t offer longer laces for purchase and they already send a second pair with the shoes (which is super nice), but that doesn’t solve the problem.

I’ve been able to purchase longer laces from other retailers so I’m overall making it work, but I’d rather have an add on or something for purchase from this site.

These boots are gorgeous, and it feels like I am walking on a cloud when I wear them. I’ve never had such comfortable shoes before. I definitely would recommend these to anyone looking to buy comfortable, stylish, high quality boots!

These are the most comfortable and versatile black suede shoes I’ve ever owned! The perforated suede on the front of the shoe makes it so soft and comfortable to wear that it feels like Slippers.
They are lightweight and virtually invisible when you wear black tights, And look very smart and chic with the velvet laces.
I would love a pair for the summer in pink or sand/beige - If they could do them in the wide!
Definitely worth buying.
