1940s - early 1960s vintage style cardigan - Burgundy red - Ingrid

Really high quality garment. Lovely soft, thick merino wool with lush cable detail, and a natural colour that will go with anything. Beautifully fitted shape as well; most chunky cable cardigans are shaped like a sack of potatoes, but this one is genuinely flattering. It's the perfect length and fit to go over a vintage style dress.

I'm always cold, and wear wool cardigans even in the summer. It's hard to find new-made pure wool sweaters, with no synthetic fibers and no cashmere -- but the thing that's really hard is to find *warm* sweaters. Most new options are thin, even tissue weight, which is not enough for me in the colder months. I prefer tailored, waist-length styles to fit my vintage-inclined aesthetic, which can also be hard to find. And finally, I struggle to find long-sleeve sweaters with sleeves that are actually long enough (I'm 5'7" / 1.7 meters tall with longish limbs). If you have similar tastes/needs, Ingrid is for you!

This sweater is thick, even bulky, and the short waist length and overall cut is very chic. The sleeves are plenty long for my arms, with the cuffs unfolded. The fabric is breathtakingly soft, and not itchy for me to wear even though I'm very sensitive to wool, even merino. And yet it does not seem inclined to pill much at all (I've worn it only 8-10 times, but I'm pretty confident it will continue to resist pilling, based on past experiences). I love my Ingrid sweater!

This is the 2nd item of knitwear I have bought from Mette and it is as good as the first. Quality wool and I love the fit. Really nice colour too. I highly recommend these items and the service.

Jeg kan varmt anbefale trøjerne. Jeg har både en i natur og i blå, samt en vinrød i “bluse”. De passer utrolig godt til nederdele, men jeg kunn godt ønske mig en lidt længere model til bukser.
Samtidig er betjeningen fantastisk. Meget serviceminded, hvis man har brug for et råd.

I’m very pleased with my purchase of this stylish and beautiful cardigan. It’s the perfect length to wear with a dress or skirt. The pure new wool is of an excellent quality and has a lovely weight and feel to it. The buttons are a good design which go very well with the style. I am really looking forward to wearing it, and the colour is great too.

I received my sweater: the Ingrid in Dark grey. I could not be more happy with it! It is warm, soft and goes with slacks, jeans, skirts and over dresses.

This is my second cardigan from Memery! You don’t get this quality nowadays and I am so happy I have them! The grey goes with so many wintry colours and with jeans too. I air it a bit and it’s good to go for another stroll in the city :-)

The Ingrid Cardigan is really warm and cosy to wear. It looks good over everything that I have tried it on with so far including modern and vintage styles. The knit pattern stands out beautifully on the rich cream colour. The buttons are on the Ingrid Cardigan are lovely too.

I originally came to Memery for the shoes and I love every pair that I have purchased but I have now also fallen for the knitwear and you will too!
