1920s everyday shoe - Navy Blue - Ruby

I was delighted to find such a wonderful vintage shoe in wide. Unfortunately it was not wide enough for me. I would not really consider these wide, at least not in European standards. Returning them was very easy though.

I was a bit worried the ankle strap would be too tight (based on some of the reviews I'd read), but it turned out to be too wide instead, which was not a big issue, since I could easily adjust this by sewing the button tighter on the strap - now the strap fits perfectly. For reference: my arch measures 22 cm around the widest part. The fit is snug, but quite comfortable. I ordered my regular size in wide and I'd definitely recommend going with the wide size for anyone with wider feet, since going a size up would only make them too long and less flattering looking. Overall, these make neat little 1920s everyday shoes, they're comfy and appear to be very well made, although the strap might be the only thing I have an issue with. I think it should be redesigned to be more conveniently adjustable, and there's also no way to know if it's going to be the correct width before ordering, so keep that in mind before you order these shoes! In case your arch measures the same width as mine, the strap will probably be too wide and will need adjusting, but like I said, making the strap tighter by sewing the button closer to the leather worked quite well for me, so in that case I'd definitely still give them a chance, it is still a very nice pair of shoes after all.

Superflot og feminin hæl uden at være høj. Den hæltype ønsker jeg mig flere af, da jeg ikke kan gå med noget der er højere.
Det ser ret flot ud med knaplukningen med den er lidt besværlig at knappe med en hånd. Men jeg kan se at andre har skrevet at skoen er for kort over vristen, men det forstår jeg ikke, for jeg passer fint denne sko over vristen og det plejer ellers at være et af de steder jeg har problemer med andre sko fordi jeg skal have indlæg med bl.a. svangstøtte i.
Til mig er den en smule smal, men det er de fleste pæne damesko, men kunne jeg have fået de røde i en bred udgave havde jeg nok valgt det.
De er meget stive i starten, men de er hurtigt begyndt at blive blødere efter blot nogle timers brug hjemme i stuen.
De sorte i bred udgave er nu sat på ønskelisten.

I love these shoes, I got them in the cream colour and they’re the perfect neutral for any outfit. I love the low heel which makes them super comfortable and easy to walk in.

Jeg bestilte disse, fordi jeg gerne ville have nogle pæne vintage sko med lav hæl. Modellen passede fint i længde og bredde, men desværre ikke over vristen, hvor jeg ikke kunne knappe remmen.
Jeg har flere Memery sko, som passer mig fint, og som jeg rigtig glad for, så desværre.

Ikke kun er de pæne men de er også så behagelige at have på ! Det bliver ikke det sidste par jeg køber 🍀

These are elegant and beautiful, the leather feels very good quality and the stitching is distinctive. The shape is very authentic to their era and the colour is classic. They are a bit stiff since they are new, and will take some wearing in I expect, but the shape is comfortable.

Unfortunately the strap is extremely short, my feet are not particularly high in the instep but the strap is so very short on me I will have to take it to a cobbler to see if they can find a way to elongate the elastic for the button. The button is also quite fiddly to fasten and unfasten.

I should have read the reviews here. Also for me the strap to close on top was too short and no way would I be able to close it. I've returned the shoe. Hoping for a quick turnaround of the return order.
