Bottes élégantes à petit talon, style édouardien pour le quotidien

Ces bottes à lacets du quotidien sont confectionnées dans un cuir de haute qualité, évoquant le style édouardien avec un design inspiré des modèles de 1915 à 1920.

Dotées d'une tige de hauteur moyenne à élevée, fixée par de longs lacets en coton, et d'un talon de 3 cm légèrement robuste, ces bottes offrent à la fois confort et stabilité.

La semelle en cuir et la doublure en coton gardent une esthétique traditionnelle, tandis que des inserts en silicone offrent un confort moderne et un bon maintien.

Les chaussures sont disponibles en tailles régulières et larges :

Disappointed…

After reading all the amazing reviews of these boots I thought I would treat myself.
I love the look of the boots and the heel size is perfect. However, they are so difficult and time consuming to take on and off, I literally have to completely unlace them each time - a zip on the inside leg would really solve this.
I have narrow legs and ankles and always find it disappointing that boots are made for wide fit but not narrow fit. Because of this, the boot tongues constantly ‘drift’ round to the side which sadly ruins the overall look when worn.
I really wanted to love these boots, I’m hoping they’ll grown on me over time but at the moment they’ve not become the staple in my wardrobe that I hoped they would…

Hi Sharon. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on our Ruth boots, I'm happy to hear you like the look and comfort of them. As you say, our boots don't have zippers. We've chosen not to add zippers because we want to stay as true to the original design as possible. They do take a bit longer to put on, but in time it does become easier the more you practice. I do know some theaters have had a cobbler add a zipper, for quick costume changes, so it is possible to do that if you wish.
In general we experience that most people with narrow feet fit our regular width boots well, which is why we don't offer specific narrow fit, as it would double our warehouse stock, and as we are a small company we simply don't have the space for it. I'm sorry to hear the tongue of the boots doesn't stay in place, as you say it's most likely because your calf is too narrow. My best suggestion would be to either see if it's possible for you to lace them more tightly around the ankle and calf, or you can add a small stitch in the corner of the tongue to make it stick to the boot, or you can add a slit in the middle of the tongue and draw the laces through it, like in modern boots. You're also more than welcome to send me some pictures, and I can help you more thoroughly on email.

Fantastic, worth the money

Perfectly comfortable! I am UK size 9 or 10 (10 according to Memery) so I have very few options for shoes and these size 10 boots are my most comfortable shoes. The heel height is something you notice but it's not too tall, enough to give you a feeling of elegance. They work well with anything, not just vintage clothing. I wore them for a job interview with an ankle length skirt. They looked great, and I got the job!

At last. A well-made, genuinely feminine boot for wide feet

For decades, my wife has struggled to find footwear that ticks all the boxes.
She has wide, tall feet, struggles with tall heels, and wears through cheap footwear all too quickly. But she also wanted something feminine, not just a clunky man's boot made on a different last.
After discovering quality men's boots for me and having an understanding of how good footwear is made, every pair of women's boots we looked at fell short.
The fit and feel of these boots is excellent, and my wife is super-happy with them.
$250+ may seem like an excessive amount to spend on boots, but believe me, it's well worth it. If anything, there are compromises that need to be made for a manufacturer to sell them at that price, and I think Memery has chosen wisely with those compromises. An example would be the leather. A thicker leather of this quality would increase the longevity, but also the price, and it wouldn't look as feminine. That said, Mette, if you did make a 'premium' version with slightly thicker, unlined leather, I would happily spend the difference... The last you use is perfect.
The only downside of the historically accurate design is the number of eyelets and the resulting extra time it takes for my wife to put them on. Fitting extra-long laces helps there, but it's not really that big a deal. Go ahead and add them to your cart.
